This episode begins with Dr. Carter driving to the hospital in a snow storm. When he arrives there is only one patient on the board due to the blizzard. The ER at the time is empty with only a few doctors and nurses around.
After a few minutes the first trauma patient comes in. The patient is a security guard who stopped an elderly lady from getting raped but was shot and eventually died in the Emergency Room in the process. The lady he saved was probably a victim of the chain of rapes that has been going on with elderly women. This case hits Dr. Carter particularly hard because the man died and he felt like if anyone should get a chance to live it should be this man.
Later on the rapist gets brought into the hospital with gun shot wounds. Since the hospital is low on blood Dr. Carter auto-tranfuses the rapist with his own blood. The rapist survives the procedure and is stable
Dr. Benton finds out that the mother of his child is seeing someone else and that person is playing more of a father role than he actually is. This makes him a little angry and it is very visible.
I rate this episode a 5 because of the major rapist case finally coming to a close with the arrest of the rapist and helping the final victim to survive and not get raped. This case along with a few others made this episode a complete success and very exciting and suspenseful to watch.
