ER Episode 18 Season 4 “Gut Reaction”

This episode opens up with Nurse Hathaway getting all deliveries for the clinic.  Another thing is the ER’s banquet is in this episode taking place in the same night.  Dr. Greene in the beginning feels like the whole night is planned and set up fine.  At this point Jerry tells Dr. Greene that the food didnt pan out along with the band cancelling.  This already starts Dr. Greene off to a stressful day.

Dr. Ross in this episode is trying to get a petition for an ER Pediatric attending.  He seems to be the only person who wants this position.

Dr. Anspaugh’s son seems to be getting worse and is going to try a new chemo therapy treatment that is going to have severe side effects that could make him very sick.

After thinking that Dr. Morgenstern was back on his feet, he gets very confused while performing surgery on a patient and Dr. Benton has to take over which is really not allowed since Dr. Morgenstern has a lot of seniority, and is a senior surgeon as well.

The episode ends with the annual ER banquet, that is really not well planned or put together.  The band is a one man keyboard player.  The bar is not an open bar but everyone has to pay for there drinks.  The food comes out cold and really isnt that good.  Although the banquet was a complete mess, everyone still seemed to have a good time anyway.

I rate this episode a 5 because i enjoyed the banquet scene and the number of traumas that came in.  This episode was very action packed which made it move along very quickly.
